At Hardin Valley Academy we hosted about 500 freshmen (9th graders) for their introductory visit to the school. They heard many speeches, enjoyed skits, and went to all their classrooms. Our school has two floors and five wings (sections of buildings) so it is important for the freshmen to get an idea of how to move to their classes before all 2000 students are in the hallways at the same time.
At the end of the day we held a cookout for all the teachers and their families. Our assistant principals grilled hamburgers and hot dogs.
Tonight we went to one of our favorite restaurants, Brixx. They serve mainly pizza and pasta. Jacob complained that the food was not spicy enough. We are going to start searching in the small international stores around here for some Indonesian spice to make that boy happy.
