Ready for the Weekend!

We're ready for Friday to get here, even though we had Monday off this week. Jacob has a home football game Friday night and Nancy will be there to enjoy his band performance. At Hardin Valley Academy we also have a home football game, so I'll be working with the crew that sells tickets (and collects the $$$). The students have planned to wear togas to school on Friday, but have been warned by our headmasters that they need to wait to wear their togas at the football game. On Saturday the University of Tennessee plays a big football game, and we have been invited to join friends there, so you can look forward to some photos of that event too.

Meanwhile, Stephen and Betsy fly to Amarillo, Texas tomorrow to spend the weekend with what we hope will be their future congregation. Stephen and Betsy will meet many of the members of the congregation during the weekend, and Stephen will preach on Sunday. A congregational meeting will be held the following Sunday to vote on extending a call to ministry to Stephen. Please keep Stephen and Betsy in your prayers.

The big weather system that brought the flooding rains on Monday has stuck around, not bringing much more rain but cooler temperatures. It has stayed around 20 C and we are enjoying it very much. We'd like to have more sunshine but the break in the high heat is most welcome.
